The building and construction industry is statistically one of the most dangerous fields to work in here in Australia. Accidents do happen but our partners the Master Builders Association of Western Australia are leading the industry into a safer future with the launch of their brand new training application.
And the timing is perfect because in case you didn’t know, October, i.e. right now, is National Safe Work Month.
To coincide with National Safe Work Month MBAWA introduces “Tapped into Training” – an interactive training application that lets users immerse themselves in different safety scenarios.
Tapped into Training has been specifically designed by industry experts to educate and make people aware about hazards on worksites. As well as how to deal with or avoid those common hazards which are usually found on building and construction sites.
This platform lets users experience how a safety hazard may present itself, without actually having to put themselves in danger. It’s a huge step forward in making people aware and educating them to adapt to different situations within a worksite.
One of the best parts about Tapped Into Training is its flexibility of learning completed on any device at any time, which is both cost effective and smart.
According to Safe Work Australia so far this year there have been 111 Australians killed at work, and 16 of those were involved in the construction industry.
The Master Builders of WA wants to decrease these numbers for the better and are encouraging everyone in the industry to “be a safety champion”.
And not just in October, the safety month, either. The Master Builders Association of WA offer their members access to their team of experts and trainers who can assist with safety mentoring, site inspections and audits, safe work method statements, and customized training courses.
If you’d like to be a safety champion for your business, especially this month, then it’s easy to book a demonstration of Tapped Into Training by contacting the Master Builders – mbawa.com
