Safety on a major building site, home extension or renovation is as important as any skill or trade employed on that project. We’ve heard from the Master Builders Association that safety training and awareness is high on the list of the MBA educational priorities for builder and trades members.
In Albany and the Great Southern, one small company, has been offering safe work place solutions to builders and renovators since 1994.
Graeme Wise was working as a builders’ labourer when he saw a need for tighter precautions for everyone working in potentially dangerous situations.
That’s when he registered for safety courses in Perth and then set up Upright Scaffolding Services, providing scaffolding and temporary security fencing
Graeme and his Upright Scaffolding Services team are in demand in Albany and right through the Great Southern, to Denmark in the west and north to Kojonup. They also have contracts with Perth builders who have projects down in the Great Southern region.
Graeme Wise adopts the slogan “Work Safe with Us”. He invites builders and renovators to send him their drawings, especially site plans and sections, for suggestions and costings. Or he will travel to the building site and quote on the job.
