Rivergum Design Furniture recently launched its planned Australia-wide chain of franchise outlets with the grand opening of its first store in Joondalup.
Rivergum Design is a West Australian family operated company that has been making handcrafted fine dining furniture since 1939.
It specialises in older traditional styles and small batch solid jarrah outdoor furniture to clients’ requirements
Rivergum Design’s “signature” is a fine furniture range called “Combinations” in which whole suites of furniture are produced from a single log, lovingly selected, machined and hand-crafted into a number of pieces – dining table, chairs, sideboard, coffee tables….resulting in a coordinated look to any room
Rivergum Design Furniture’s owners, Frank and Susan Colvin, have set themselves a number of goals, including educating home makers on the beauty and lasting features of fine WA timber; to create jobs and training in crafting specialist timber furniture; the advantages of WA grown and manufactured products and to realistically compete against the flood of cheap and inferior imports.
