Master Builders Association of WA

When the final HOME in WA episode for 2005 goes to air on Saturday December 17, the program will have completed six successive years and 238 half-hour programs.

The longevity and success of imparting interesting and helpful information to home builders and renovators through Western Australia is thanks, to a large degree, to the invaluable support of HOME in WA building industry partners.

The Master Builders Association of Western Australia has been the major partner of HOME in WA since the first series commenced in 2000. In that time, the program has:

• showcased the outstanding work practices and skills of MBA builder and trades members

• demonstrated the highest standards of building excellence through the coverage of on-going construction of three MBA Show Homes

• provided coverage of major industry issues including work place safety, shortage of skilled trades in the workforce, apprentice training and the MBA TradeStart program, the introduction of MBA Insurance Services, and the publication of the MBA magazine, Winning Homes

• travelled to Broome, Albany, Bunbury/Busselton and Kalgoorlie Boulder to cover the annual MBA Regional Building Excellence Awards as highlights of the presence of the Master Builders Association in country Western Australia

The HOME in WA team is extremely grateful to the Master Builders Association Council and Management for their support and belief in the program throughout the past six years and looks forward to a continuation of the mutually beneficial partnership in the future.
