Here’s a great opportunity for you to get on board and celebrate some very special WA history with Duyfken 1606 replica’s commemorative voyage to celebrate the 400th year of Dirk Hartog’s landing on the West coast of Australia.

On Thursday 18th August ‘The Little Dove’ will set sail from Fremantle for Bunbury where she’ll spend almost two weeks on public exhibition.

Then she sets sail again to go on exhibition at the ports of Mandurah, Hillary’s Marina, Jurien Bay, Dongara, Geraldton and finally in Denham in Shark Bay for this very special celebration in October.

Duyfken is a floating museum where visitors will get to see the superb craftsmanship of the ship as well take in a snapshot of what life was like for sailors 400 years ago.

Keep an eye on local press, radio and TV for dates, as this will be a rare opportunity to visit her at these locations.

Once Duyfken reaches Denham she’ll make her way to Cape Inscription on Dirk Hartog Island, the place where Hartog left his engraved plate, for the official commemoration on Tuesday October 25.
