City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder (Part 2)

In this second special feature on Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Western Australia’s Goldfields, David Grant continues his discussion with Mayor, Ron Yuryevich about the City’s development and plans for the future.

The Mayor talks about plans for the amalgamation of the three existing golf courses into one “super” grass course and possible resort complex. The land freed up by the resumption of the current courses will be handed back to the State Government and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder will receive substantial financial compensation in return. Those monies will be dedicated to the planned new complex.

Mayor Yurevich also discusses the City’s shortage of residential land and the recent land release by Landcorp in portion of the City’s Karlkurla Bushland Park.
