Today we met Lars Engdahl, an Australian importer of the Moccomaster Coffee Maker and found out how quick and quiet the Moccomaster is.
It takes six minutes to brew a full carafe but what really sets it apart is the fact that the coffee brews at a consistent temperature of between 92 and 96 degrees centigrade and the contact time between water and coffee is precisely set. These factors combined produce the optimum brewing conditions as recognised by world coffee authorities.
It uses normal ground coffee, so instead of being limited to whatever coffee styles the manufacturer has chosen to package, you can sample coffee beans from all over the world. And of course, the fresher the roast and grind, the better.
