Master Builders Association

The Master Builders Association recently held its 16th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards for the commercial, industrial and civil engineering sectors.

The awards focus on, and pay tribute to, all involved in ‘Building this Great State’ of ours from Architects and Planners, Engineers and Consultants through to Builders and Sub-contractors and of course the clients and/or Principals who make these projects happen.

The Judging is by an independent panel comprising representatives of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Engineers Australia and the Master Builders Association.

Home in W.A. visited

1) The Overall Winner – The impressive ‘Molecular & Chemical Science Building at the University of W.A. built by BGC Construction and designed by Ferguson Architects and the Project Planning Management Group.

2) The Regional Winner The beautiful Quay West Resort, Bunker Bay, built by Mirvac Fini designed by HPA Architects and Van Der Meer Consulting.

3) Subcontractor of the Year – Nilsen Electrics were the winner for their work at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Congratulations to these and all the other category winners who will represent Western Australia at the MBA National Awards to be held in Sydney in November.
