Richard Repp talks with Michael McLean, Executive Director of the MBA about the collapse on giant company HIH and its ramifications on the building industry in Western Australia. Builders are finding it extremely difficult to get the mandatory indemnity insurance cover required for councils and shires to issue a building permit.
Richard also talks with Tracy Power, Project Manager, Landcorp, about the Mt. Henry at Salter Point superior residential development, upon which the MBA Show Home is located. The Show Home is now up to first floor level, with the slab being poured this week. The project is on target for the programmed completion date of November / December this year.
